Education
Gainer studied at Fordham University from 2000 to 2004, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies with a minor in Business Administration. Throughout her time there, she was Captain of the Nationally Competitive Fordham Dance Team, Anchor, and Reporter at WFUV 90.7FM, as well as the Campus TV Anchor.
Career
Alice is presently performing her duties as an anchor and reporter for the WCBS-TV station, which is an affiliate of the CBS Network, since she joined the station in January 2013. Alice covered the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy and the shootings in Newtown, Connecticut, for WNYW Fox 5 NY before securing a position at WCBS. During her time at Fox News Channel, the network frequently broadcasted her tales nationwide.
She worked as a reporter for News 12 New Jersey’s weekday morning show and as the station’s first weekend morning anchor before joining Fox 5. Gainer additionally contributed to News 12 Westchester/Hudson Valley as a freelance reporter. She has also been on CNN, Reuters Insider, and Fox Business Network. Gainer worked in radio news at NPR affiliate WBGO, MetroNetworks: WABC, WOR, and Air America before beginning her career in television.
