Silvia Amaro is a British journalist working as a TV Reporter and Correspondent at CNBC in London. In addition to reporting, Amaro regularly contributes to CNBC’s digital platforms. She was previously working at Market News International as a reporter until September 2016.

Amaro graduated with her high school diploma and then joined the University of London where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Arts in Journalism in 2014. Additionally, she graduated with Sciences Po from Summer School in 2014.

Silvia currently works as a reporter and Correspondent at CNBC in London, she started working for the station in October 2016. In the same year, she was awarded the UK Broadcast Journalist of the Year because of her report on “How to fix rising inequality during Covid-19.” Due to her diligence, she was uplifted to Senior Correspondent within the same period. Amaro was later advanced to General Assignments Reporter where she works to date.
In her line of duty, Amaro has managed to add daily breaking news coverage and has also done several documentaries including the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on retail and tourism, Chinese investments in Europe, Climate Change, and many others. Amaro has also managed to moderate conversations with the European Central Bank, and International Monetary Fund, among others.
