Carlin attended and graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. After graduating he started his career as a general assignment reporter for KTBC-TV in Austin, Texas. He then proceeded to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where he joined WHP-TV as a weekday Anchor.
He currently serves as a Reporter for WCBS in the Tri-State Area.
