Marcus Key is a multi-skilled American journalist working as a 13 ON YOUR SIDE/WZZM 13 reporter in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He joined the channel in November of 2023, after being an intern at the ABC-owned station in Chicago, ABC 7 (WLS).

Marcus graduated with a high school diploma from Chicago Public Schools. He later graduated as the first in his family from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, obtaining a B.S. in Mass Communications with a pre-law minor.

Marcus had the opportunity to meet his idols, such as Robin Roberts, DeMarco Morgan, and Gio Benitez. Additionally, he was featured on GMA’s Jumbotron during his internship.
Key interned at FOX 2 News in St. Louis, refining his editing, writing, and shooting abilities. He shadowed reporters on various schedules, solidifying his desire to pursue reporting. Outside of reporting, Marcus finds joy in traveling. He has frequented New York City 15 times and aims to make it his future home. Marcus is enthusiastic about reporting in West Michigan and eagerly anticipates sharing the stories of the community. He hopes to have a positive influence on the community through his work.
