Salcedo attended and graduated from Emerson College with a Degree in Broadcast Journalism. In college, he was the News Director of the school’s news station, WEBN News, and host of Good Morning Emerson. He enjoyed his stay in college and used this as an opportunity to sharpen his journalism skills.
He currently serves as a Sports Reporter and Producer for WCVB in Boston since joining the station in June 2023. Salcedo began his professional career as a Reporter for KOAT. During his tenure there, he covered a variety of breaking news, political, and sports stories.
In his role as sports reporter and fill-in sports anchor, he reported from the sideline of KOAT’s “The Rundown” football show. He also reported live from the University of New Mexico football games. Additionally, he provided live reporters from the Dell Technologies Championship PGA golf event.
Salcedo is fluent in both Spanish and English and is also a skilled bilingual journalist. When off his duties, you can find him on the golf course. Angel developed a love for golf just over five years ago and has since become a scratch player.
