Shae Rozzi Biography
Shae Rozzi is an American Award-winning Journalist working at FOX 23 News serving as an Evening Anchor and Investigative Reporter since she joined the station in April 2013. Formerly, Rozzi worked at WSB-TV as a Reporter and Fill-in Anchor.
Education | Career
Rozzi graduated from Lake Braddock Secondary School where she received her school diploma in 1993. She later enrolled in Virginia Tech in 1993 and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies in 1997. She is currently performing her duties at FOX 23 News station serving as an evening news anchor and investigative reporter since she became part of the network in April 2013.
Shae co-anchors FOX23 News with Sara Whaley at five, six, 6:30 p.m. nine, and ten. She had worked for six months as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor at WSB-TV, the flagship station of the Cox Media Group in Atlanta, Georgia, before being moved to the position of main evening anchor in Tulsa.
The day of the Boston Marathon bombing was Shae’s first day at work. She went to Boston to cover the reaction to the bombings and spoke with Oklahoman runners who were there at the time of the tragedy.
Shae worked for ABC-owned Raleigh, North Carolina’s WTVD station for the bulk of her career. She worked as the Weekend Evening Anchor and concentrated on investigative reporting throughout the week during her nearly 12-year tenure in the Triangle. The Duke Lacrosse case and the political corruption trial of former presidential contender John Edwards were two of the most significant stories Shae reported.
Rozzi found that the tragedy at her alma college, Virginia Tech, was one of the most difficult things to write. She covered the inquiry for days, sharing the firsthand accounts of North Carolina students impacted by the tragedy.
Shae started her career in television at WLUC in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. She later worked as an anchor and reporter at WSLS in Roanoke, Virginia, and has since moved to North Carolina, Georgia, and Oklahoma. Ever since joining the FOX23 News Team in 2013, Rozzi has received numerous Emmys. Beyond accolades for her efforts, nevertheless, nothing compares to the fulfilling sense of community service she receives.
Rozzi has been a volunteer for the Angel Tree Program, the Red Kettle bell ringing campaign, and emceeing hallmark events since 2016. She joined the Tulsa Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary in 2016. She also emcees events all year long to support the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
