Cam Derr is an American News Personality working at WAFF TV serving as a Sports Anchor and Reporter since she joined the station in August 2023. Formerly, Derr worked at FOX 21 News as a Sports Anchor.

Derr studied at Emory & Henry College from August 2017 to May 2021, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and Media Studies. During that time, Cam played pitcher for the Wasps softball team. Cam participated in three NCAA regional tournaments over her four years on the diamond. In her senior year, she was a member of the program’s most successful squad ever, which was ranked No. 13 nationally.
She is currently performing her duties at the WAFF TV network, serving as a sports anchor and reporter since she secured a position at the station in August 2023. Derr was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, but moved to Rocket City from the hockey capital of the state—Duluth, Minnesota, where she was employed as a weekend sports anchor by KQDS Fox 21.
Before that, Cam interned at the CSB Media Arts Center as a Television Journalist for a duration of 9 months. Additionally, she worked for EHCTV as a sports anchor from August 2018 to May 2021. At the station, Cam read the teleprompter accurately to deliver school news and sports updates, fact-checked articles, and interviewed subjects to ensure broadcast accuracy and arranged and conducted interviews with individuals involved in athletics. Derr is eager to share the tales of all the top players in the Tennessee Valley and is thrilled to be back in the South, where football reigns supreme!
