Gibson studied at the State University of New York at Oswego and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government.
Kendis joined PIX11 as a news anchor after working for WFOR as an anchor for almost four years. He started working for the station in 2022 as a Morning news anchor. Before working for WFOR, he worked for MSNBC at 30 Rockefeller Plaza as a Full-time Weekend Anchor from January 2019 to June 2022.
In December 2014 Gibson joined ABC News in the Greater New York Area where he worked as a National Anchor and Correspondent. While there he reported and conducted interviews with senior officials and celebrities at social and political events. Gibson left ABC News in June 2022. He also served WJLA-TV in Rosslyn, VA as a News Anchor and Reporter for 3 years and 3 months.

Gibson was Part of the launch team for the FOX local newscast in San Diego when she worked for FOX 5 San Diego (KSWB-TV) in the Greater San Diego Area as an Evening News Anchor for two years and one month.
In February 2005 he joined HGTV as a host and left the station in 2008. Gibson also worked for NBC News as a Correspondent for two years and one month. He began his career at WHEC-TV 10 NBC in the Rochester, New York Area as an Anchor and Reporter where he worked for three years. Gibson has established his dedication to delivering news with unwavering integrity by Anchoring network television reports of major news events, such as the Pulse Nightclub, and the mass shootings in Las Vegas, and El Paso.
