Grant Roberts Biography
Grant Roberts is an American Meteorologist working as a Weekend Morning Meteorologist at WSPA-TV in South Carolina. He has been part of the station since September 2022 and his weathercasts can be seen on WSPA-TV from 6 am to 8 am every weekend. Before joining his current station he worked as a Meteorologist at KSLA News 12 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Education | Career
During the time Grant was graduating high school the University of Tennessee at Martin started up a meteorology program. He started out as one of four students pursuing meteorology but graduated with over 15 in his class. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology. During his time at Martin, Grant would anchor the news and give forecasts for on-campus. He also interned at WKRN-TV in Nashville as a Meteorologist Intern.
Roberts currently works as a Weekend Morning Meteorologist at WSPA-TV in Greenville, South Carolina. He joined the station in September 2022 and his weathercasts can be watched from 6 a.m. until 8 a.m. every weekend. He is happy to be part of the weather team at WSPA-TV and is honored to serve the South Carolina Folk.
Roberts is originally from Nashville, Tennessee and he has always been fascinated with the weather from an early age. Thunderstorms and remaining part of his favorite sides of weather got him interested in weather. Grant started his television career at KPLC-TV in Lake Charles, LA. He started off as a weekend meteorologist and moved up to weekday Noon and 6:30 p.m. meteorologist.
During his tenure at KPLC-TV, Grant gained lots of experience covering the tropics including Hurricane Harvey. Later on, he moved north to join KSLA in Shreveport, LA. While there, Grant was able to gain more experience in severe weather. Combining the heat, tropical weather, and everything in between, Grant is ready to tackle the challenge of forecasting the Upstate and the Mountains.
