Anthony Everett Biography
Anthony Everett is an American Emmy Award-Winning Anchor and Reporter working as an anchor of the station’s night magazine Chronicle. He joined the station in 1990 as a general assignment reporter and has also served as a co-anchor for 5, 5:30, 6, and 11 pm news anchor.
Education | Career
Everett attended and graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. He currently works as a co-anchor for WCVB’s nightly magazine Chronicle. He joined the station in 1990 as a general assignment reporter and was promoted to his current role in September 2005.
Over the years working for WCVB, Anthony has had the opportunity to cover many significant stories for the station and has also served as a co-anchor of the 5, 5:30, 6, and 11 pm newscasts. He has been honored with multiple Emmy Awards, including Emmys in 2016 for his reporting on Education, and for his reporting on the high incidence of cancer among Boston Firefighters.
In 2015, he received an Emmy for reporting on Alzheimer’s as a societal concern and also received an Emmy for hosting a special on “Holiday Lights”. Additionally, his work as host of the Chronicle was awarded an Emmy in 2010. Anthony was also awarded with a first-place National Headliner award for Health and Science reporting.
Besides his role as reporter and anchor for WCVB, Anthony has also served as the station’s senior correspondent for major national events and breaking news and has regularly contributed to special reports. He is also active in the community and has been involved with numerous charitable organizations in the community.
His dedication to charitable work has led to collaborations with organizations such as the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Habitat for Humanity, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association, among others. When off his duties, he loves spending time in the mountains and on the water.
