Onile-Ere attended and graduated from South High School and is a proud alumna of the University of Minnesota School of Journalism. After graduating, she served as a co-producer and weekday morning anchor at KDLH-TV in Duluth, MN. She joined the station in September 2002 and left the station in October 2003.
Bisi currently works as a News Reporter and News anchor at 6:30 at FOX 9 in Minneapolis. She joined the station in December 2017 and is honored to serve her people. Bisi has covered numerous headline-hitting stories in the area and has won awards for it. She has received two Michigan Emmy Awards and a Michigan Associated Press Award.
Before joining her current station she served as a fill-in anchor and Correspondent for Al Jazeera America in Detroit, MI. She served the organization for 2 years and 10 months and left the station in April 2016. Bisi also served WDIV Local 4 News and WJRT in Flint, MI, as a Reporter and News Anchor.
Some of her career highlights include covering the murder of former Minneapolis Police Officer Mohammad Noor, and General Motor’s ignition switch recall. As of 2024, she is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists. When off her duties, she loves traveling.
