Brian joined Michigan State University in 1986 graduating in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. While in college he has the opportunity to to work as a Sports Anchor and Reporter at Great Lakes Media Group in Michigan from March 1988 to September 1990.
He currently works as a News Anchor at WOOD TV8 in West Michigan. He has been part of the station since August 1994. Brian anchors the 5 pm, 6 pm, and 10 pm newscasts at WOOD TV8 and News 8 at 11 pm on WXSP. Before joining his current station he worked as a Weekend Anchor and Reporter for the NBC Affiliate in Lansing WILX-TV. He joined the station in March 1991 and after 3 years and 6 months of service, he left the station in August 1994.
Besides all that, Brian has served as a regional correspondent for the Associated Press, NBC News, and LIN Media. His work over the years has not gone unrecognized and he has been recognized by the Associated Press and Michigan Association of Broadcasters for breaking news and reporting.
Brian believes in giving back to the community and volunteers with charitable community organizations to serve the community. He has donated his time to several charitable organizations, including the Children’s Miracle Network, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, and the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan.
