Wade attended and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. After graduating she began her career as a Fill-In Anchor and Reporter for KOCO TV in Oklahoma City. She joined the station in December 2009 and left the station in December 2012 after 3 years and 1 month of service.
Her next stop was WFAA in Dallas, Texas where she worked as Weekend Morning Anchor and Reporter for 3 years and 2 months. She left the station in February 2016. Carla’s last stop before joining her current station was KTNV Channel 13 Action News. She joined KTNV News in August 2016 and left the station in December 2019.
Wade is now a Morning News Anchor for WVTM 13 in Birmingham, Alabama. She has been part of the station since February 2020 and seems to enjoy her stay there. Over the years of her career, she has won three regional Emmy Awards and has earned an Associated Press Award. She received a regional Emmy award for covering the mass shooting on the Las Vegas Strip.
