Eileen Javora Biography
Eileen Javora is an American AMS-certified News metrologist who was formerly working for KCRA 3 in the weather department since March 2005, besides the weather, Eileen is also a content creator. Currently, Eileen is learning the family business of farming grapes and making wine after leaving the media industry.
Education | Career
Javora attended Monmouth University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts – BA, in Communication and Media Studies between 1994 and 1998. She then joined Mississippi State University, majoring in Broadcast Meteorology until 2003.
Her career began at KCRA-3 on March 14, 2005, before that, she worked for WBBH-TV, the NBC affiliate in Fort Myers, Florida where she covered news on severe weather. While at WBBH-TV, Eileen played a key role in the station’s hurricane tracking coverage in 2004. She reported four major hurricanes that were sweeping across the state. Eileen led a weather team to Louisiana, where she provided live coverage of Hurricane Lili on its path of destruction and aftermath.
Eileen started her broadcasting career as a TV Meteorologist for Hearst Television – KCRA TV in 2005 where she worked until December 2017. She then left the team to support her family’s wine business. Eileen is a member of the American Meteorological Society and holds the prestigious Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal. Javora has been a member of the Apple Hill Growers Association as a Social Media Content creator for 2 years.
Since March 2018, Eileen has been a Freelance Agricultural Digital Journalist at SacramentoValley.org. She is also a content creator, co-owner, and Digital Media at Boeger Winery on a part-time basis in Placerville, California.
