Gulstan Dart Biography
Gulstan Dart is an American Award-winning journalist working for KCRA 3 and My58 Television as an Anchor and Reporter. He was previously working for KIRO-TV in Seattle, as a morning and noon Anchor since 2003.
Education | Career
Dart joined and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington. He says that he is the first person to graduate from college in his family. This is why he loves talking to students about his career path and encouraging them to succeed in academic life and life in general.
He currently works as an Anchor and Reporter at KCRA 3 and My58 Television. Before this, he worked for KIRO-TV in Seattle and before joining KIRO-TV he a co-anchor at WSB-TV in Atlanta which is an award-winning and top-rated newscast, he appeared at the 5 p.m.
Gulstan was also a reporter at MSNBC and served as a news show host and news anchor, he would report from the scene of major stories at the station. In addition, he also extended his duties to the NBC Network serving as the the newsreader for NBC’s Weekend Today Show. Additionally, he was a contributor to NBC Weekend Nightly News.
While working as an anchor reporter at the NBC affiliate in Portland, Oregon, and Medford, Oregon, Dart was able to develop an important connection to the West Coast Gulstan. Further, on matters of national breaking news such as forest hurricanes, national politics, and fires in the region, Dart has been on the front line.
Dart’s investigative reporting and writing have been superb and the work has not gone unrecognized. Besides winning Regional Emmy Awards, Dart has also won other AP awards for reporting and spot news coverage.
Charities
Dart likes to give back to the community, as such, he supports various charities such as the March of Dimes. He loves especially this one so much since in 1998, he and his wife lost a child to a birth defect. In addition to March of Dimes, Dart has supported other charities in the Seattle area. Some of such charities include; Highline Community College, Alzheimer’s Association, Lupus Foundation, Rotary Club, and Children’s Hospital. On the other hand, he is a former member of the Salvation Army and Boys and Girls Club.
