Jennifer Correa Biography
Jennifer Correa is an American-certified broadcast meteorologist serving as a morning meteorologist at WPTV. She previously worked as a weekend meteorologist at WFOR in Miami.
Education | Career
Correa attained her Bachelor of Science in meteorology at Florida State University in 2009 with minors in physics and mathematics. She has the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorology designation. In addition, Correa is pursuing a Master of Science in Aviation and Aerospace Sustainability at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Presently, Jennifer has been playing her role as a morning meteorologist at WPTV since December 2022. She is also skilled in Public Speaking, Communication, Weather Graphic Designing, and Weather Forecasting.
Correa’s career started in September 2012 with Accuweather where she recorded weather forecasts for Spanish international clients including Bolivision in Bolivia, Cablecom in Mexico, and CableOnda in Panama because of her bilingual proficiency.
She later worked for the number one watched weekend morning show at WPLG in South Florida until May 2018. The same year, she joined WSVN-TV 7 News and worked as a weather producer. Her main role was to update and create graphics for the weekday morning show “Today in Florida”.
