Jeremiah Brown aka ‘JD’ is an American multi-skilled journalist working for 13 ON YOUR SIDE at Grand Rapids, Michigan since joining the station in June 2023.
Education/Career
Jeremiah was enrolled at Madonna University in 2019 and graduated in 2023 with a major in Broadcast and Cinema Arts and a minor in Communication, Journalism, and Public Relations. He fell in love with photography in high school and knew he wanted to have a career in media.
Jeremiah is currently working as a multi-skilled journalist with 13 ON YOUR SIDE. He joined the media team in June 2023. Before that, JD was a Multimedia Journalist at Madonna Herald where he was on an internship. He joined Madonna Herald in August 2022 and worked until May 2023 when left for 13 ON YOUR SIDE.
Before his stint at Madonna Herald, Jeremiah worked as a Freelance Associate Editor at Highway Media, between August 2021 and May 2023 in Canton, Michigan, United States. Previously, he was a Video Production Intern at Madonna University, in Livonia, Michigan for 9 months from September 2020 to May 2021.

Brown is happy to be on the WZZM team to serve the community. He enjoys storytelling and loves those in it. Some of his features include decades-long store owners in Muskegon, Lemonade stands in Allegan County, and veterans from everywhere in between. He loves listening to stories about people and their origins.
When not working, JD enjoys cooking Korean BBQ, exercising, generally watching shows on Netflix like Anime, and Star Wars, and spending time with his family and friends.
