John Clark Biography
John Clark is an American Emmy Award-Winning Anchor and Reporter working as a Weekday Sports Anchor and Reporter for NBC10 in Philadelphia. He anchors the weekday sportscasts at 6 and 11 pm and also owns and runs a podcast named Takeoff with John Clark. Clark joined NBC10 in 2013 after working for the station’s sister station for 13 years.
Education | Career
Clark is a graduate of Strath Haven High School in Wallingford, Pennsylvania. During high school, Clark was an inmate with legendary Phillies announcer Harry Kalas. After high school, Clark joined Temple University where he attained his journalism degree. During college, he intended for WB 17, Fox 29, and Temple’s Channel 54.
Earlier in his career, John worked as a Sports Anchor and Reporter for WPTV, in West Palm Beach, Florida. He also served as a reporter and sports anchor for WMGM in Atlantic City. He is now a Sports Anchor and Reporter for NBC10 in Philadelphia. Over the years serving NBC10, He has covered some of the biggest stories in Philadelphia History.
Clark has covered Super Bowl XXXIX and the 2006 NFL Hall of Fame Game. Additionally, he covered the Eagles in the Super Bowl, the Phillies World Series Championship, and the parade. Over the years of his professional career, he has been awarded and nominated for several Emmys. In 2004, Clark won the Mid-Atlantic Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement for Sports Reporting.
Besides his career, Clark is active in the community and enjoys volunteering. He is an active volunteer for the Special Olympics and has been passionate about the program since his brother began competing. When free he loves enjoying a good game cheering on the Eagles.
