Johnny Archer attended and graduated from Delaware County Community College with a Bachelors in Communications. He then attended Temple University where he attained a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Mass Media. While in college he interned as a News Intern at KYW-TV in Greater Philadelphia Area.
After graduating, he kickstarted his career as a Reporter and Anchor for KPVI-TV NBC News Channel 6 in Eastern Idaho. In February 2011, Archer joined WHAS-TV in Louisville, Kentucky as an Anchor and Reporter. After 3 years and 3 months serving this station, he left in April 2014. Johnny then joined KXAS-TV in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area as a News Reporter and Anchor.
Prior to joining his current station, Johhny worked as a News Anchor and Reporter for NBC6 for 4 years. He left NBC 6in November 2021. Johnny now serves as a News Anchor and News Reporter for NBC10 in Philly. As of 2024, he is an active member of the National Association of Balck Journalists and when he is free he uses this time to volunteer in community events.
