After completing her high school education Kelci joined Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Virginia where she graduated in May 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Journalism and Sports Media/Analytics minor. While in college she was a player on the Hokies DI Women’s Lacrosse team.
Besides that, she was a Love Your Melon Campus Representative for pediatric oncology patient awareness. She also serves as a member of the university’s Women in Sports Media Organization. In 2018, she held an internship with Fox 29 Good Day Philadelphia. She currently serves as a Weekend Anchor at WSPA-TV.
Kelci joined 7NEWS (WSPA-TV) in October 2021 as a multimedia journalist and was promoted to her current role in July 2022. Before joining her current station she worked as a digital sports reporter at WNCT in Greenville, NC where she served for two and half years.
During her tenure in Greenville, she assisted in multiple departments including news, sports, and digital media. Over the years of her professional career, she has covered multiple hurricanes, local elections, and countless number of athletic events.
In September 2021 she was nominated for an RTDNAC award for the top original digital video after her behind-the-scenes coverage of the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament in Morehead City. When off her duties, she enjoys all things health-related. You might find her at a local gym, exploring the outdoors, or trying new places to grab a bite.
