Kyle Clark Biography
Kyle Clark is an American Emmy Award Winning Anchor and Reporter working as a 9 pm and 10 pm anchor. He is also the managing editor of the station’s Next with Kyle Clark, airing weeknights at 6 pm. Calrk joined the station in August 2007 and was promoted to his current role in August 2016. Before joining his current station he worked as an Anchor and Reporter at 13WHAM ABC in Rochester, New York.
Education | Career
Clark attended and graduated from Lyons High School in New York with a High School Diploma. He then joined Ithaca College In 2001 and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. He began his professional career as a Reporter and Anchor at WBNG TV 12 in Binghamton, New York.
Clark currently serves as an Anchor, Reporter, and Managing Director of Next with Kyle Clark airing weeknights at 6 pm. He anchors the station’s 9 and 10 pm newscasts and has been part of the station since August 2007. He assumed his current role in August 2016.
During the onset of the pandemic, he created World of Thanks, a weekly micro-giving campaign supporting small to mid-sized non-profits in Colorado. Word of Thanks rallies Next viewers to pool their $5 donations to make an impact for a single charity each week. By the end of its first year running it raised $4 million for non-profits across Colorado in its first year.
He has received numerous awards and nominations over the years of his professional career. He has received over 20 Emmy awards, including four Emmys for Next’s commentary segments, which seek to bridge partisan divides by uniting Coloradans. Clark anchored 17 hours of coverage on the day of the Aurora Theatre Shooting and frequently anchored 9NEWS coverage from the communities where news is happening.
Before joining his current station he worked as a Reporter and Anchor at 13WHAM in Rochester, New York. He also worked for WBNG-TV in Binghamton, New York. When off his duties, he loves exploring the area and spending time with family and friends.
