Robinson joined the University of Arizona in 2005, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Related Programs. She then joined Mississippi State University where she attained a Certificate in Meteorology. While in college she covered record-breaking snowfall, historic flooding, and annual severe weather and helped the morning and noon shows maintain the market’s highest ratings.
Robinson began her professional career in January 2012 as a News Editor at NBCUniversal. After 2 years and 6 months, she left the station in July 2014. She then joined KLKN-TV in February 2015 as a Reporter and Weekend Weather Anchor leaving the station in January 2016.
Before coming to Denver, she worked for KETV in Omaha, Nebraska for five years. During her time there, she held many titles. She was hired as the Morning Traffic Anchor and General Assignment Reporter. Laurann is new to Denver and is excited to explore the region’s natural beauty. When she’s not working, Laurann loves to eat at new restaurants, do fun workouts with friends, travel, read, and take long hikes with her tiny fur-baby, Lola.
Besides her Meteorology profession, Laurann is also a soldier in the United States Army Reserves and a member of the National Urban League and the National Association of Black Journalists. She has a passion for giving back to the community and is always looking for ways to be helpful to the community.
