Linzi Sheldon Biography
Linzi Sheldon is an American two-time Emmy-winning Investigative Reporter, News Anchor, and Storyteller currently working as an anchor and investigative reporter for KIRO 7. She joined the station in Seattle, Washington in August 2013.
Education
After her high school diploma, Sheldon went to Dartmouth College in 20003 and graduated Magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English, and Creative Writing in 2007. She then joined Columbia University – Graduate School of Journalism in 2007 and graduated with honors in 2008 with a Master of Science in Broadcast Journalism.
Career
Following Linzi’s graduation from the university, she secured a job at WHEC-TV 10 NBC the same year working as a General Assignment Reporter, she stayed in this position until August 2010 after serving for over 2 years.
Linzi then packed her bags in September 2010 and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina Area where she got a job at WSOC-TV Eyewitness News as a General Assignment & Investigative Reporter. In August 2013, she left the station after a 3 year tenure.
Immediately after leaving WSOC-TV, Linzi began working at her current station, KIRO 7. Her first role in the station was working as a weekend morning Anchor and Reporter. She stayed in that position for more than 2 years then in December 2015, she was moved from morning to evening.
Her new role was now working as a weekend evening anchor and investigative reporter. During this time, she was covering breaking news of major issues. For instance, she covered a baggage handler’s dramatic theft of a plane from Seattle Tacoma International Airport in 2018. Other notable events she covered are the deadly collapse of a crane in Seattle in 2019, and the Seattle riots in May 2020.
Linzi stayed in this role for over 6 years and in February 2022, she went back to working in the mornings. Her new role was now working as a Morning Anchor and investigative reporter. It is the role she performs to date, where she co-anchors weekday morning news from 4:30-7 a.m. In addition, she brings in-depth and investigative stories to her fans and viewers.

Sheldon was born in British Columbia and brought up in Canada’s Okanagan Valley. She does not talk much about her mum yet she pours praises about her late dad Mr. Linzi. Her dad passed away in 2020 due to cancer, she always says that she is who she is because of him, he used to encourage her all the time and is the one who made her choose journalism as a career.
