Logan Sherrill Biography
Logan Sherrill is an Emmy and Murrow award-winning journalist working for WDBJ7 as a weekday evening News Anchor and Reporter since January 2017. He was previously working for Fox Television serving as a Sports Anchor and News Multi-Media Journalist until December 2016.
Education | Career
Sherrill went to Western Carolina University in 2007 and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Communication, Broadcasting, and Journalism. During his time there, he was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity.
While Logan was still in the university, he was still working as a General Manager for WWCU-FM Power 90.5, he served there for almost 2 years. WWCU-FM is an FM radio station operated by students and Logan was glad to report for the communication department’s online news journal. In addition, he served as a commentator for Catamount basketball and football games.
Following his graduation, Logan did not take long before getting a job. He was lucky to work at WBTV Charlotte North Carolina in July 2012 serving as a News Content Specialist. He worked there for about 2 years then left the station for Fox Television.
At Fox Television, Sherrill served as a Sports Anchor and News Multi-Media Journalist. He stayed in this position until December 2016 after being there for 3 years. In his capacity as a digital journalist in the station, he not only reported and anchored sports but also anchored news. It was while working here that he had the opportunity to travel all over the United States covering various stories. Such stories include multiple NASCAR races, NFL & NBA playoffs, snowstorms, hurricanes, the 2016 Charlotte riots, and much more.

Soon after leaving Fox Television, in January 2017, Logan was lucky to get a job at his current station, WDBJ7 in Roanoke, Virginia where he works as an Anchor and Reporter. Follow him on-air every weekday on the 7@four, 10 pm on WZBJ24, and at 5:30 & 11 pm newscasts and 6:30 pm.

Sherrill was born and brought up in North Carolina., however, he is always talking about his mum and his Godmother, seems he is very happy about these two ladies. According to him, they taught him to love God, which is why he is a serious man of God today.

Logan says that this was not their first baptism, when he was 2 months old and Taylor was 7 years old, they received another baptism but as adults, they now understand what those waters wash away.
