Stevens grew up in Cadillac where he attended and graduated from Cadillac High School in 2004. He then joined Northland College in Ashland and after 4 years he graduated in 2008 with a Degree in Broadcast Meteorology. While in college he played NCAA Hockey and Baseball.
After graduating he moved to Minot, North Dakota where he took his first on-air job. Two years later he returned home to Cadillac and became the Meteorologist for MTM in February 2010. Michael ended his run on Michigan This Morning in 2021.
He currently hosts The One Up XP Show on 9&10 News. The show brings education, information, and entertainment about video games and exports for kids and parents. He is also the Noon and The Four weather forecaster. He has been part of the station since February 2010.
