Naslund joined Western Illinois University in 2015 graduating in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and a minor in Broadcasting. While in college she worked as a Weather Anchor for WIU News3 in Macomb, IL. She also served as a Head Lifeguard in the City of Galesburg.
Naslund currently works as an Evening and Weekend Meteorologist at WMBD-TV in Peoria, Illinois. She joined the station in August 2019 as a Morning Meteorologist and was promoted to her current role in April 2023. She has been working here ever since and seems to enjoying her stay there.
From a young age, Molly always wanted to do broadcast meteorology after witnessing a snowstorm bury her home in two feet of snow. Before joining her current station she spent time in Decatur at WAND17 as the weekend meteorologist. When off her duties, she loves exploring the area and spending time with family and friends.
