In high school, Patrick was a member of the football, and basketball and head captain of the track team. Later, Cunningham attended and graduated from the University of Texas in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies.
While at the University he worked in gameday operations for the Patriots, where he had varying roles as a play-by-play announcer, statistician, and social media manager. Additionally, he helped cover multiple postseason appearances, including national championships in 2016 and 2018.
He currently works as a Weekend Sports Anchor and Weekday reporter at WMBD-TV in Peoria, Illinois. He has been part of the station since June 2022 and is honored to be part of the WMBD’s Sports Team.
