Griswold attended and graduated from Lyndon State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology. He currently works as a Chief Meteorologist at WMTW in Southern Maine. He joined the station in September 2009 and has been anchoring weather in Southern Maine for 25 years.
Roger assumed the role of Chief Meteorologist at WMTW-TV shortly after joining the station in 2009. His work over the years has not gone unrecognized and has been awarded the Best Weathercast in Maine multiple times from the Maine Association of Broadcasters and his forecasts have been rated Most Accurate since 2017.
Griswold began his professional career at WMUR-TV in Manchester, NH, and at WTIC-TV in Hartford where he was Director of New England Weather Services. Additionally, he serves as an applications engineer for WSI Corp in Andover, Mass.
For Roger, weather has always been a hobby, and he is very fortunate to have been able to make it his career. In his free time, he volunteers for Scouting BSA and serves on the Executive Committee for Pine Tree Council. He enjoys wilderness canoe trips, downhill skiing, family camping, and summer backpacking.
