Samantha Rivera Biography
Samantha Rivera is an American Sports Journalist working as a Sports Anchor and Reporter at WFOR-TV CBS4 Miami. She has been part of the station since April 2023 and is honored to be part of the CBS4 sports team. Before joining her current station she worked as a Sports Anchor and Reporter at NBC5 Chicago.
Education | Career
Rivera attended and graduated from Hampshire High School in 2013 with a High School Diploma. She later joined DePaul University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism Public Relations and Advertising in 2017.
Before her professional career as a Journalist, she took on other jobs like Executive Assistant and Swim Instructor at NISRA from February 2013 to August 2013. She was also a swim instructor at Dundee Township Park District; Aquatics Center.
In May 2014, she joined Elegant Presentations Inc. as a Secretary in Elgin, IL. After 4 months she left the organization in August 2014. While in college she interned as a Marketing Research Intern at Technimic Inc. in Chicago, Illinois. She joined the organization in September 2015 and left a year later in September 2016.
She also worked as a News, Sports Anchor, and Reporter at Good Day DePaul in Chicago, IL. Rivera joined the station in April 2016 and left the station in November 2016. Additionally, she joined The DePaulia as a Sports Beat Writer and Contributing News Writer. From June 2015 to June 2017 she worked as a Co-Host at Univision Communication Inc.
She currently works as a Sports Anchor and Reporter at CBS4 Miami. She has been part of the station since April 2023. Before joining her current station, she worked in her hometown as a sports reporter and anchor for NBC5 Chicago, Telemundo Chicago, and NBC Sports Chicago. As of 2024, she is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
