Sean Dowling is an American News Personality working at WAFF TV serving as a Weekend Anchor and Reporter since he joined the station. Formerly, Dowling worked at Zazoom Media Group as a Multimedia Journalist.
Education | Career
Dowling studied at Northern Illinois University from the year 2006 to 2010 and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies. He is currently performing his duties as a weekend anchor and reporter for WAFF TV station since he secured a position at the network.
He enjoys nice cuisine, friendly people, and warm weather! Sean enjoys sharing tales and is eager to provide the local population with the required news. Dowling worked for a company in New York City for several years as an online news reporter before joining WAFF 48. He also presented a nationally syndicated morning show in Dallas.
Prior to becoming part of WAFF TV, Dowling worked at Zazoom Media Group as a Multimedia Journalist from September 2014 to August 2020. At the station, he was an on-camera host of breaking news, consumer, entertainment, tech, and lifestyle segments totaling over 20 million views. He also pitched, wrote, hosted, and edited all short-form news videos on Final Cut Pro X.
Sean also worked for WGNTV News from May 2010 to September 2010, where he wrote a minimum of 15 stories daily for the morning newscast. In addition, he also composed up to 25 web stories published on WGNTV.com and coordinated with reporters and the news director to determine which stories to cover and reporter assignments.
In May 2009, Sean landed a job at Clear Channel Radio in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout his tenure, Sean coordinated air personalities and celebrity clientele at live events, orchestrated & maintained control for attendees at 15 live concerts, and coordinated with the Promotions Director to execute over 25 commercial events.
