In 2019 she joined American University where she attained a Master of Arts in Journalism and Public Affairs. Shabnam currently works as a Weekend Anchor at WMBD-TV in Peoria, Illinois. She joined the station as a Reporter in January 2021 and was promoted to weekend anchor in May 2023.
Before journalism, Danesh was a criminal justice researcher and legal administrator in Boston. She also worked as a reporter for The Outlaw Report in Washington DC. Danesh was also a Reporter and Researcher for the Solitary Watch from February 2020 to July 2020.
Before joining her current station she worked at Investigative Reporting Workshop in Washington DC. She served the organization from July 2020 to Jube 2021. When off her duties, Danesh loves traveling and spending time with family and friends.
