Stephanie Allison Biography
Stephanie Allison is an American AP Award Winning Meteorologist working as a meteorologist for WPXI in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She joined the station in June 2017 as a freelance meteorologist and was promoted to her current role as a full-time meteorologist in June 2022. Allison comes to WPXI after serving as a meteorologist for WTOV9 from March 2016 to May 2019.

Education | Career
Allison attended and graduated from the College of Charleston and attained her Bachelor of Science in Earth Science and Broadcast Meteorology from PennWestt California. While in college she interned at WTAE-TV from June 2005 to August 2005. After graduating she joined HSTV in Uniontown, PA where she worked as a Chief Meteorologist, Editor, and Director for 2 years and 1 month.
From October 2008 to September 2013, Allison served as an Evening meteorologist for WMDT-TV in Salisbury, MD. While there she covered major severe weather events and even volunteered in local schools and community groups. In January 2016, she joined WJAC-TV in Johnstown, PA as a Freelance Meteorologist. Her stay here was not long and after 4 months she left the station joining WTOV9 as a meteorologist.
After serving WTOV9 for 3 years and 1 month she left the station joining WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as a freelance meteorologist in June 2017 and later got promoted to full-time meteorologist in June 2022. She has been part of the station ever since and seems to enjoy her stay there.
Most recently, she covered the October 21, 2021 tornado outbreak that produced 9 tornadoes across the Pittsburgh area. She now anchors the station’s weathercasts at noon and weekend evenings. Additionally, she is a weeknight, 6:30 pm, and weekend 10 pm weather anchor for FOX53.
