Walker attended and graduated from Penn State University with a Degree in Meteorology. With over 2 decades of meteorology experience, Walker serves as a meteorologist for WVTM 13 in Birmingham, Alabama. She has been part of the station since 2000 before which she served as a meteorologist in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Over the years of her career, she has covered several significant weather events in Central Alabama, including Hurricane Ivan, the deadly tornado outbreak on April 27, 2011. Additionally, she covered the 2014 crippling snow and ice often referred to as Snowmageddon. When off her duties she loves exploring new restaurants and foods and spending time outdoors with her family in one of her major pass time activities.
