Steve Villanueva is an American broadcast journalist currently serving as a weekend morning meteorologist at WPTV in Florida, USA. Since joining WPTV in October 2016, he has accumulated over 7 years of dedicated service with the company.
Education | Career
After graduating from NYU with a degree in broadcast journalism, Steve subsequently completed Mississippi State University’s distance learning program in Broadcast Meteorology.
Presently, Villanueva works as the Morning Meteorologist at WPTV/WFLX in Florida. Before this, Steve served the Greater New York City Area as a Weekend Meteorologist for Storm Team 4 at WNBC from September 2012 to September 2015.
Before his stint at WNBC, he served as a Weekend Meteorologist at WRC NBC4, covering the Washington D.C. Metro Area for 3 years. Before that role, he contributed to weather coverage in New Haven, CT as a Weekend Meteorologist at WTNH-TV from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, from 2006 to 2012, Villanueva served as both a Meteorologist and Traffic Reporter at WPIX-TV.
