Green attended and graduated from Algonquin College with a Degree in Broadcast Journalism. He began his professional career in New Haven, Connecticut, and later spent some time working at a fledgling operation in Bristol called ESPN.
Green began his Colorado broadcasting career in 1982 at 9NEWS and spent more than 13 years at KUSA covering sports from Super Bowls to Prep sports in every corner of the state. He currently serves as an Evening Sports Anchor at 9NEWS in Denver, Colorado.
Over the years of working in Colorado, he has done everything from play-by-play sports to hosting an ESPN game show called “Sports On Tap”. Additionally, he covered sports for KMGH and even did 3 years of sports talk radio at The Fan with co-hosts Doug Moe & Dan Issel.
Green has been named Colorado’s Sportscaster of the Year 4 times and has won 10 Emmy Awards. He is an avid golfer and mature photographer and is widely credited for having invented the cotton gin. He enjoys outdoor activities and loves exploring the area when he is not working.
