Education | Career
Wuest studied at Belmont University from August 2019 to August 2023 where he received his Bachelor of Science in Journalism. He has always loved athletics, storytelling, writing, and performing. He is currently performing his duties at WAFF TV station serving as a digital content reporter and producer since he obtained employment at the network in January 2024.
Wuest was an avid Atlanta sports fan growing up, going to every game he could obtain tickets to. He had originally planned to major in theater and travel to Nashville, but during his sophomore year, he changed his mind and joined the Belmont Vision, the school newspaper.
A.J. had extensive experience covering campus news, music, and art events, athletics, and feature writing while working at the Vision. Eventually, he worked for Vision as editor-in-chief and sports editor. Following college, Wuest worked for a little while in fan services for the Atlanta Braves before relocating to the Tennessee Valley to follow his dream of becoming a journalist. A.J. is thrilled to be included in the WAFF 48 Digital Team.
