Mostrom studied at Oral Roberts University from August 2019 to December 2022 and received her Bachelor’s degree in Convergence Journalism. She is currently performing her role at FOX 23 News station serving as a Multimedia Journalist since she secured a position at the network in January 2023.
Alexa earned a Great Plains Journalism Award for student feature video in 2021 while majoring in multimedia journalism with a concentration in political science at ORU. She also established from scratch the school’s new, fully operational digital news site.
As a curious youngster, Alexa’s mother suggested a career in journalism as a joke. She started taking reporting classes and soon after realized how much she loved recounting other people’s experiences. Being able to begin her reporting career in her hometown makes her very happy. With this new position, she hopes to get to know the people of Tulsa better and find out what they would like to see on the news.
