Kathleen Jordan Biography
Kathleen Jordan is an American Anchor and Reporter working as a Weekday Morning Anchor at WMTW in Portland, Maine. She anchors the 4:30 am newscasts and has been part of the station since May 2017. Before joining her current station she worked as an Evening Anchor and KTEN TELEVISION from March 2014 to May 2017.
Education | Career
Jordan attended and graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication in 2013. While in college she interned at WBAL-TV in Baltimore, MD. She worked at the station from May 2012 to May 2013. She also worked at Townson Sports Network as a Reporter.
Jordan is currently working as a weekday morning anchor on WMTW and anchors Monday through Friday starting at 4:30 a.m. She has been part of the WMTW news team since joining the station in May of 2017 as a weekend morning anchor and reporter. Jordan has had the chance to tell many stories of people in Southern and Central Maine.
Over the years working at WMTW, Kathleen has reported some of the big news events in Maine from the murder of Corporal Eugene Cole, the death of Berwick Fire Captain Joel Barnes, and the Farmington explosion. Kathleen spent days in those communities sharing the stories behind how deeply each event affected them.
Kathleen also works on many health-related stories that affect Mainers. Most of her stories focus on the lack of access to healthcare and treatment in rural parts of the state. Each month, Kathleen reports for Heart Health 8 as part of a WMTW partnership with the American Heart Association.
Before joining her current station, she worked as a reporter turned evening anchor for three years in the North Texas, Southern Oklahoma viewing area. Katheleen is happy to be back on the East Coast and near the water.
