Natay Holmes Biography
Natay Holmes is an American Emmy Award-Winning Anchor and Reporter working as a Weekend Anchor and Reporter at ABC10 in San Diego. She joined the station in 2018 and is honored to be part of the team that gets to share the San Diego folk stories. Holmes’s stories greatly focus on local education and positivity in the Black community.
Education | Career
Holmes attended and graduated from Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley. She then joined San Diego State University where she graduated in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Three Departments: Journalism and Media Studies; Television and New Media; and Communications.
Holmes currently works as a Weekend Anchor and Reporter at ABC10 in San Diego. She has been part of the station since 2018 and has been part of the station ever since. Before moving on to camera and reporting, she worked for a local station in San Diego as a Morning News Producer.
In 2015, she moved to Jackson, Mississippi as a Morning Reporter for WJTV 12. During her tenure there, she was recognized for her work and even several award nominations. Natay placed 3rd for “Best Feature Story” with the Mississippi & Louisiana Associated Press Broadcasters Award in 2016.
Since joining her current station she has covered an array of stories and was even awarded an Emmy for her contribution to a breaking news story after a plane crashed into homes in Santee. As of 2024, she is an active member of the Alpha Kappa Sorority and is also involved with the San Diego Association of Balck Journalists.
