Nia Watson Biography
Nia Watson is an American Anchor and Reporter working as a Weekend Evening Anchor for ABC10 in San Digo, California. She joined the station in July 2021 after working as a Weekend Anchor and Reporter for WMBF in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She initially served ABC10 as a News Reporter and was promoted to her current role in November 2022.

Watson attended and graduated from The University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 2016. While in college she interned at WUGA TV and Radio in Athens, Georgia Area for 7 months. He has also worked as an Entertainment Staff Writer for InfUSion Magazine and was a Student Production Volunteer for Grady Newsource.
Watson currently serves as a Weekend Evening Anchor for ABC10 in San Diego. She joined the station in July 2021 and initially worked as a News Reporter and MMJ and was promoted to her current role in November 2022. She specializes in stories related to the San Diego Airport and Mismilm and Black communities.
Nia began her professional career as a photojournalist for WAKA TV in Montgomery, Alabama Area. She served the station for a year and left the station in September 2017. Her next stop was Myrtle Beach where she served as a News Reporter and MMJ for WMBF News. She joined the station in October 2017 and left the station in July 2021.
Before joining her current station she worked as a Weekend Anchor and Producer for WMBF in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She joined the station in January 2020 and after a year and 7 months, she left the station in July 2021. When off her duties, she loves exploring the area and trying out new restaurants.
