Seymour holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Spelman College and a Master of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University. While in college, she interned at WSTM-TV which is also where she began her broadcasting career.
Seymour currently works as a co-anchor of WCVB’s iconic nightly newsmagazine, Chronicle. She joined the station in 2006 and initially worked as the station’s producer and co-anchor of EyeOpener. Over the years of her professional career, she has received numerous awards and recognitions including Emmys. She won Emmys in 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. Shayna is also active in the community and has emceed many events for local community and charitable organizations.
