Sheila Watko Biography
Sheila Watko is an American Emmy Award-Winning Reporter working as a Traffic Anchor, Multi-Platform Content Creator, and Entertainment Reporter for NBC10 in Philadelphia. She anchors live traffic reports on weekdays from 4 to 9 am. Watko came to NBC10 in July 2019 after serving as a photo researcher for NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Education | Career
Watko joined Saint Basil Academy in 2004 and graduated in 2008 with a High School Diploma. She then graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in communications with a specialization in digital media. While in college she had the opportunity to intern at different stations including Crane Communication, BRYN, Beasley Broadcast Group, and The Hamels Foundation.
After graduating, Watko served as a radio personality for WNEW-FM and WPLJ-FM. Additionally, she has worked for Channel One News and MTV as a reporter. Before joining her current station, she worked as a photo researcher for NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers. While there she assisted with live event coverage for the primary and presidential debates, midterm elections, and Democratic National Convention.
Watko now serves as a Weekday morning traffic Anchor and Reporter for NBC10 in Philadelphia. She anchors live traffic reports for NBC10 from 4 to 9 am. She joined NBC10 in July 2019 and has worked here ever since ensuring the Great Philly folk stay informed. Growing up watching NBC10 ignited her passion for journalism and there’s no doubt that working for NBC10 is a dream come true for Sheila.
Watko is passionate about education and anti-bullying, intersectional women’s issues, among other issues affecting the community. When she is not in the newsroom, she loves having a good time outdoors or just reading psychological thrillers.

Watko was born and brought up in the Great Philadelphia Area, alongside her sister Celine Watko who is married to Dom McGraw, their wedding took place in December 2023. Sheila loves to spend her free time doing different things that are full of fun. Among these things is doing a popular dance tutorial series for her YouTube Channel; Shooting interviews; and doing travel videos; In addition, you will find her looking for the best nachos and margs in NYC, taking line-dance lessons, or singing subpar karaoke. Sheila also loves spending time with her sisters and will be seen walking with bulldogs. She was once hired to choreograph the Big Time Rush: Dance Party video game for Wii and she did just fine since her Big Time Rush dance tutorials had made her so good a dancer.
