Kristine Johnson is an American Newscaster working at CBS 2 News, New York serving as an anchor since she became part of the network in November 2006. Formerly, Johnson worked at MSNBC station as an anchor.
Education | Career
Kristine studied at Montclair University, where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree certificate. She is currently performing her duty as an anchor at CBS News, New York, since she joined the station in November 2006. She co-anchors the news at the CBS-owned and operated station in New York City at 5 and 11 p.m. Johnson has received more Emmy prizes since the autumn of 2006.
Kristine has led her audience through several breaking news stories. Hurricane Sandy, the Newtown school shooting, the Boston Marathon bombings, and the two papal trips to New York City are just a few examples. In addition, she reports for “CBS Sunday Morning,” fills in as an anchor for “CBS Mornings,” and anchors the network’s digital streaming program once a week.
Johnson started working at WPRI in Providence, Rhode Island, in the year 1994. She received a part-time position as an assignment editor. She moved through several production roles over the following ten years before deciding to become a reporter. In 2004, Kristine moved to New York City from Providence. MSNBC hired her to headline midday programming.
It is a privilege for Kristine to represent WCBS at numerous Tri-State area events. She has collaborated extensively with the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Run, March of Dimes, Susan G. Komen’s Race for a Cure, and The Brain Tumor Foundation chapters in the greater New York area.
