Spencer Soicher is an American Award-Winning reporter and MMJ working as an MMJ for ABC10 in San Diego, California. He joined the station in July 2023 after serving as a Weekend Evening Anchor and Multimedia Journalist for KRDO TV in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Education | Career
Soicher graduated from Denver East High School in 2015 with a High school diploma. He then joined The University of Texas graduating in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast journalism. While in college he had the opportunity to intern at different stations like KUSA-TV in Colorado. He served KUSA-TV as a Sports Intern.
In May 2017, Spencer joined Fresh Tape Media as an Intern and after 9 months he left the station in January 2018. He also interned at KUTV 2News as a Sports intern and at KVUE in Austin Texas as a News Intern.
Spencer currently works as a Reporter and Multimedia Journalist for ABC10 in San Digo. He joined the station in July 2023 and looks forward to putting his storytelling abilities into ensuring the San Diego Folk stay informed.
Spencer began his professional career at Gray Television in Lansing, Michigan where he served as a Reporter for 2 years and 1 month. After a while, he joined KRDO in Colorado Springs, Colorado as a News Reporter. Later in July 2022, he was promoted to the station’s Weekend Evening Anchor. He left the station in July 2023 after 2 years and 3 months of service.
Some of Spencer’s work includes reporting from the frontline of the most destructive wildfire in Colorado history, the Marshall Fire. Additionally, he reported on the mass shooting at the LGBTQ+ Club in Colorado and this report earned him multiple Edward R. Murrow awards and an Emmy nomination. He loves spending time outdoors exploring the world when off his duties.
